The Little Squirrel’s Big Secret
In a lush green forest, where the trees whispered to each other and the rivers sang, lived a little squirrel named Chiku. He was smaller than the other squirrels, but what he lacked in size, he made up for in kindness.
One sunny morning, Chiku found a pile of nuts under the biggest oak tree. His tiny paws couldn’t carry them all, but instead of keeping them just for himself, he decided to share.
As winter approached, the forest animals prepared for the cold. The wise old tortoise, the playful rabbit, and the busy woodpecker gathered their food. But one young fox, Roro, was too busy playing and didn’t store enough for himself.
When the first snowfall came, Roro shivered. His belly rumbled as he searched for food, but the forest was covered in snow. Seeing Roro’s struggle, Chiku didn’t hesitate. He offered some of the nuts he had carefully stored.
Roro was surprised. “Why are you helping me, Chiku? I was careless,” he said, ashamed.
Chiku smiled. “Because kindness should always be shared, just like food.”
From that day on, Roro learned to prepare for the seasons, but more importantly, he learned the value of generosity. The forest became a happier place where animals helped each other, just as Chiku had taught them.
Moral of the story: Helping others in need brings happiness to everyone, and kindness always finds a way to return.
