The Brave Little Elephant: A Lesson in Kindness
Deep in the heart of the Indian jungle lived a young elephant named Tanu. Tanu was smaller than the other elephants, but he had something special—an enormous heart full of kindness.
Every day, Tanu roamed the jungle, making friends with all kinds of animals. He played hide-and-seek with the playful monkeys, listened to the wise old tortoise, and helped the tiny ants carry food to their nest.
One day, as Tanu walked by the river, he heard a tiny squeak. Under a big rock was a little rabbit, stuck and unable to move.
"Hold on!" said Tanu. With his strong trunk, he carefully lifted the rock and freed the rabbit. The rabbit wiggled its nose and said, “You saved me, Tanu! Thank you!”
But trouble was brewing. Dark clouds covered the sky, and strong winds rushed through the trees. A storm was coming!
The jungle animals ran for cover, but the little rabbit had nowhere to go. Without hesitation, Tanu scooped the rabbit onto his back. “Hold on tight,” he said, as he hurried toward a tall, strong tree where the other animals were hiding.
The storm raged through the jungle, but Tanu stood firm, protecting the rabbit from the wind and rain.
When the storm finally passed, the animals cheered. “You are so brave, Tanu!” said the rabbit.
From that day on, Tanu was known as the bravest and kindest elephant in the jungle. And he learned something too—that even though he was small, his kindness made him stronger than anyone.
